idling real bad
i just swapped a new motor in my 1996 3.8 and i believe i routed some of the vacuum lines wrong. anybody have a complete vacuum diagram for this motor or close up pictures. it starts and goes up to 3,000 rpm then drops and will stall if i don't give it gas. then i tap the pedal then the rpms shoot back high again then drop after a few seconds again. i got a random misfire code but know my timing, spark, and injectors are all good. i am pretty sure i screwed up the vacuum routing but can't find any decent diagrams.
there is no diagram on my hood and i used that diagram basic sent however it doesn't show where the to acsry is? i see a port with 3 vacuum lines and one farther down however it doesn't show excatly where and i am pretty sure thats the hose causing me the problem because it works with the regulator.. can anyone send me pics of excatly where that hose plugs into
ACSRY is accessory and would go inside the interior through a grommet on the pass side firewall to the Heater/A/C system to control the actuator doors, ie, vents, defrost, temperature, and inside/outside air.
Along with this accessory hose, is a cannister/reservior also, like a storage tank.

Old mechanics trick. Just pinch off each line one at a time with a pair of needle nose plyers. Once you know whick line is causing the issue then you know where to start.
I think the only Vacuum hose the motor needs to idle in your garage is the MAP sensor. Everything else you could plug and reconnect one at a time. Did you have the PCV valve out?

You need to make sure you got everything back in right on the PVC valve. You can get a nasty vacuum leak there if it is not together right.
