hey ive got a 96 camaro v-6 i need your guys help my car idles funny it idles around 1 grand but isnt steady its not bad but def noticable the rpm gauge bobs up and down it started doing his when my fuel pump went out which was down 1000 miles ago and it was nice and steady for awhile and its doing it again anyone got any ideas its ok when im in drive or reverse its only bad in park im thinkin an evap leak or maybe tps sensor which im 75% sure thats on its way out didnt no if you guys have been expeerienceing the same thing or not please help!

 

Is the check engine lite lit?
For starters, check the IAC valve, and for vacuum leaks.

 

my car did that once.... fine in drive but really nasty jump at idle.... it ended up being bad gas...

 

ya the previous owner apprently took out the engine bulb because it was constantly on cuz it keeps throwin a evap code like EVAP flowing during purge or something like that and it still throwin that code havnt had time to look into it will that do it?

 

Get the car rescanned & let us know what the codes are. EVAP should not affect idle unless it is totally screwed up. Removing the check engine bulb does not fix anything, but can hide some serious problems.
