RE: IAC Valve Help
did you reset it after putting it in?not sure on a v-6 but you are supposed to reset it on a lt-1.key off, hold gas pedal about 1/4 way in and start car.let it run about 5 seconds, shut off.remove foot and restart as normal.should reset it.think that is the way it is done.if it still revs high, might be a vacuum leak.good luck

RE: IAC Valve Help
I don't know what the other guy was talking about. I've never heard of that. The only way I know of to "reset" the computer, is to disconnect the battery for thirty some odd minutes, and reconnect. To check for vacuum leaks: Some are loud enough for you to hear. Check all hoses coming from intake for cracks and such. If not, the only other way I know to check for them is to get some starting fluid, and spray around places in the intake that might be leaking. If engine revs higher, you've found it.

also could the Throttle Position Sensor need readjustment because i played with it before changin the IAC valve
like i said when i got it scanned only 2 codes came up IAC and ECT and i changed them both so all i can see it mayb a leak or the TPS could need readjustment
