i was in the right place at the right time.
My friend and I work build turbo kits. Mainly for imports. but however we were in the middle of a kit when the client backed out and told us to sell the ecu and such. well he told us do what you want with the turbo. well i have a 3.4 that could use a little boost. so now ive got a twin scroll turbo(its nothing awesome just us having some fun) a wastegate and blowoff valve for free and its all brand new. as soon as i find the time to build my own kit i will post pics.and i have finally picked a paint for my maro, La Mans Blue. we have a motor swap planned for the 93 but thats classified.
I hate to bust your bubble but you're 3.4 WILL NOT take boost. You will blow your heads. The cast iron top end of your motor does not flow good enough to handle the boost. You'll shred that motor. However, if you find a way to pull it off and not damage anything, let me know! I'd love to turbo mine but all of the research I've done says you can't do it without swapping the top end to a 3400/3500

there was a guy boosting a 3.4 on stock heads and not sure about internals. his name was Tiago and i think it was low 13s ripped up clutches. it was 350 hp and 400 trq with the stock motor. BAD BIRD
the big reason no one does this is becuase of the cost and work verse gains not that it cant be done or anything to do with the intake or heads. the 5 speed is weak so they cant handle the power. The biggest problem is the tuning aspect. you have to run a stand alone setup becuase you cant tune the stock computer in the 3.4. by the time your done you have at best a 13 second car and a ton of money in it and you could get a ls1 for what you will have into it probably.

Boost will help charge the cylinder but it will not help getting the exhaust out. The exhaust side of the 3.4 is as big a problem as the intake. I have seen several 3.4 built threads with NO2 and boost and they fall on their face never reaching their goal until they address the exhaust side of the heads. The FWD community is light years ahead of the F body community when it comes to the 3.4. If there was ANY reasonable priced way to get any real power from a RWD 3.4 it would be plastered all over the net.
And by the way, my info came from fullthrottlev6.com, camarov6.com, v6f-body.com, LS1.com, and I have talked to tiago about his car's setup. Believe me, I've done my research having owned a 3.4 for two years now. Tiago's car has the top end swap that I am speaking of. Without it, boost is virtually impossible. You will not gain anything out of your stock motor if you try to run boost. On the bright side, You can get a used 3400 motor out of a 2000+ Grand Am that will have everything you need to do the swap for around $300. The only thing that the donor motor will not have are push rods out of the 3100 that are required. Here are a couple links to everything you need to know about it. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Maybe on some cars but not on the 3.4 Camaro. The heads are not physically capable of flowing any better than they do as a N/A motor, let alone boosted.
