Started with high idle around 3 grand now it does that with the clutch in....when in neutral it revs up to around 3 grand.and then drops to around 1 grand then right back up continuously going up and down.....same symtoms when in gear just more delay on the rev up and deaccel. I'm lost specially since it started at high idle and now is doing wild reving. 97 3.8 with the manual tranny. Please help before I take it to a priest.

 

Just plugged the intake to check for the vacuum leak idea and she died instantly....I did unplug the tps before this started to see if it was even working...I did have problems with it before but ever since I unplugged it all Hell has rained on me. Yes its plugged back in haha.

 

Its getting Air from somewhere. A car can not rev without air. If your 100% sure you do not have a vacuum leak look at you IAC or your Throttle body. I would love to see whats going on in the computer.
