Headlight high beam/low bean switch

Headlight high beam/low bean switch
Anyone ever changed the high/low beam switch on a 98, 3.8L? Read the instructions in the Haynes manual but it sure sounds complicated. Never messed around with airbag removal and positioning the coil back in the steering column. Any hints or advice for someone who has never replaced the switch?
