head gasket

RE: head gasket
Changing the head gaskets require quite a bit of work on these engines because of the location. It's not hard if you know a little about engine work, but it is time comsuming. The coils and module have to first come off. Then anything on the front of the engine bolted to the front of the heads and intake(alternator, throttle body, brackets, etc.). Then the upper and lower intake manifolds. Then finally the heads. Installation is the opposite obviously. The pushrods are all the same length, so it is not critical that they go back in the same order, but it is a good practice to remove and reinstall in the same place. Hope this help.
