Default have money, want to go faster...

Hey guys, I have a v6 96 camaro, it has cold air intake, but other than that it is stock. Ive saved up around $500. What are some cheap ways to gain some horsepower?

Cheap and horsepower don't really go hand in hand.

You can do headers and exhuast for roughly that. I think you can get the painted pacesetter headers, and a TSP rumbler for about that. Or you might just do a catback exhaust. Do a little bit of searching, there's a lot of good info around.

Underdrive pulleys (though all that is available for 3.8 is water pump and alternator pulleys), exhaust as MM said, gears can help you go faster, weight reduction, aluminum driveshaft, if auto then a shift kit and corvette servo will help, and there is more but pricier stuff to be had. Most the stuff I mentioned have nothing to do with horsepower though. Also as MM stated, do a little searching.

I don't know if I'm all for under drive pulleys. I've seen issues with keeping voltage up at idle.
