RE: have money, want to go faster...
lol, I asked him about the dyno pulls, and got this,[:-]
i'll make one post/comment on this.
the ride is nowhere near stock.
my previous best before that day was 253hp with pacesetters.
after some very serious probing/tuning/dyno rentals etc i found my catback was jacked up, parts/pcs of gasket material, part of a rag (dont ask), pcs of pistons/rings and a vlv head. and found a couple of other minor issues but unlikely they would have affected overall performance..IMO
in my opinion (now), the dyno pulls should not have been done after the LT install.
i ended up needing a completely diff tune, after all was said and done i was now (NA only) reaching areas of the airflow tables that previous i only saw while using nitrous.
so the numbers were jacked from the get go that day, and shouldnt be used as reference.
it was unfortunate that things played the way they did. definately caught all kinds of bs over it.
and that is exactly why i will not openly broadcast the end/final results in both dyno numbers and track times.
confirmed with 2 seperate dyno shops, same day.
track pulls were backed up 2 seperate tracks, one night after the next.
too late to turn back now...lol
fwiw to some of the "all knowing" here...dont bash somebody who is trying to help the community, it just makes them pull back and say screw it, spend your own moneys/time/effort.
yes, i got fed up with all the crap, and will never volunteer again.
now something that really gonna blow your mind...i installed new plugs for the road trip down to houston for this whole ordeal.
during the dyno's, apparently we burned up plug number 6...add that to the mix and tell me they dont perform..
thats right....the numbers you saw are on 5 cylinders..ha...
im sure that last statement will jossle some grey matter for some peeps.

RE: have money, want to go faster...
well those numbers seem pretty reasonable out of a head/cam car...... and also i take it his pacesetters were shorties then????? i just find his terminology strange.... pacesetter is a brand, LT is a type.... they CAN be one and the same, they CAN be different. im just inding it hard to figure out what hes all got.
