Would it be easier to try and find the turbo and intercooler from a Buick GNX or grand National, or to pull the supercharger off of an SSEI and try to mod that?

 

I assume the GNX would be. The superchargers for the SSEI are LOTS of work to modify to fit the Camaro's 3.8. Specter outlines why this is a difficulty here:

The super charger setup off the GNX is too tall. and the intercooler is to big. About all you could use is the turbo itself and the the exhaust manifolds.

You best bet is to just build the turbo system. It will cost you about 5K, That does not include the upgrades the motor needs to make it worth while.
