has anyone ever heard or done this. Cutting a hole in the trunk on top of the hump behind the back seat to get to the gas tank to replace the fuel pump. If so where exactly would I cut the hole. 2002 camaro

i posted that about 2 years ago on here, alot of people have asked me about it, cut towards the middle, however much room you need, but make sure you dont cut too deep.

when i put it all back together i ended up making a door for it under the carpet, looks pretty sweet, and saves alot of time.

yes if there is any way you can post a picture so I can get an exact spot and how big, it would help me greatly. I was also talking about making a hinged door for any future replacements. That would be pretty sweet. now one more question I want to get the oem fuel pump anyone know what brand or a part number and a price the lowest i come up with is 280 bucks and highest is 575 bucks.

here you go, http://www.geocities.com/formulapower2/fuelpump.html) this is what i used. although it was slightly different on my 02 v6 camaro, my fuel pump hoses and wireswere at a slight 10 o'clockangle, so what i did since the pics i used were for the LT1 fuel pump was start by cutting a 2inch square hole in the middle to locate exactly where the pump is, then cut out sections around the pump and connecting hoses. iused a dremel but be very careful for obvious reasons, or you can use metal sheers (pnuematic or electric).i also used a damp rag to cover the fuel pump assembly when cutting the sections. doesn't matter how it looks until the pump assy. can be removed easily coz you can always go back and clean up the hole. this method is much easier than the drop tank thing, plus i saved $950 from thegarage.........hope this helps.

now just a quick ?.........does anyone know how many voltsan ACDELCOfuel pump for the camarois supposed run on? i'm getting 5v on mine.
i probably should ask this question in another area lol.
