I have 2001 camaro with 3.8 and have codes p0171,174,300. I would like to check the fuel pressure but cant find the test port to hookup. Anyone with picture or diagram where located? thanks

 

sorry, was expecting a response. Am I in the wrong forum? I an somewhat new at this, looked all ove I thought for the tester hookup.

 

i been lookin and cant find any pictures for the 3.8. the schader valve is on the fuel rail for the injectors and looks like a large tire air valve. heres what one looks like, its a lt1. http://shbox.com/1/fuel_schrader_valve.jpg

 

craby, appreciate the response, I have checked fuel pressure in several vehicles, but after extensive search for test port both above and under the whole bottom side I cant find it. Maybe there is not one and I may have to splice one in like some older vehicles.

 

it has a "schrader valve" .. Look harder

 

chevcamaro, I know what a schrader valve is, I have tested many vehicles, but I cant find it on this vehicle. Maybe I need new glasses.

 

still looking for testport schrader valve, is it possible this year did not have one?

 

Doesn't your fuel rail look like this one? The valve is in the upper left: Camaro 3.8 Fuel Rail

 

looks somewhat similar, but no test port there.I have a 2001. wouldnt think that would make a difference
