Default Fuel Pump??

Camaro started running crappy today. I think it may be the fuel pump but before i take a trip to the dealer i was hoping for a second opinion.

Runs smooth sometimes, Quits but starts up and runs rough. Idles but runs bad when in gear as seen from the video. May or may not start back up ....

You need to just copy and paste the URL into your message. Not the embed code. After that, we'll be able to tell you whats going on with your Camaro. What year and motor do you have?

you must have replied before i fixed it lol ... Its a 2000 with the 3.8. Fuel pump was replaced about two years ago ( i took pics and posted when i did it) Problem seems different this time. Past problem, It ran fine but would just stall but start up and run fine for a few minutes then quit again.

This time its running rough or sometimes wont start at all .. Im a good parts changer but not a good troubleshooter

So is the lurching when in gear what you're talking about when you say its running rough?

Yeah , Idle was smooth that time in park. but i have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running, otherwise it will just quit.

But only when it's in gear? Hmmm that's odd. I'm still voting on a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. You might want to do a fuel pressure test.

You should do a fuel pressure test but there are a ton of things that can cause that condition. MAF sensor, Map sensor, bad coil, PCM etc... I am suprised the Check Engine lite has not come on.

Nope, no check engine light... Funny thing is, I crank it up this morning and its running fine... Last time it did the same thing, It would run fine for a while and then would just start acting up all of a sudden.

I wonder about the fuel pump because i replaced the stock pump with a pump from auto zone ... I dont have a lot of confidence with the quality of parts that auto zone sells
