fuel smell is probably from fuel, which is why replacing the o rings isnt a bad idea. if one of them is seating weird it could be spraying fuel all over the place.

different plugs wont hurt u, but it definitly wont help u either. I prefer to keep all of mine the same and to change them all at once, and since they are only a few bucks each its no big dea.

i know the fuel injecters are moving parts but how loud are they supposted to be...
i mean i can hear mine with the hood open just standin by the car..

i have'nt been able to replace them yet or the o-rings..gotta wait till next payday

also if i touch them or whatevr i can feel then...they seem to be knocking hard at idle..

also the EVAP canister purge valve is knocking pretty loud..iam just wondering if these things are supposted to be so loud...

The injectors are supposed to make a ticking noise as they open and close. The noise should be about the same on all. If one is louder or quieter, it may be in trouble. You are supposed to feel the injector fire, and this is quick way to see if the injector is working. However; it seems to me, you are, as they say, putting the horse before the cart id diagnosing the problem. If theengine is misfiring you are going to smell unburnt fuel. The main cause of misfire is ignition problems, but you refuse to deal with them, and want to play with the injectors, which are much more reliable then spark plugs and the rest of the ignition stuff. The "O" rings on the injectors do dry out with age, but seldom cause any problems unless they are disturbed. If disturbed, they should be replaced.
