Hold on, let me get this one. "Sell your v6 camaro and buy a V8 camaro."
And in reply let me get this one. You're an idiot. No part of your response gave him any help in upgrading the power in his V6. I assume you read the question, and yet no part of your reply had anything to do with upgrading a V6. Amazing the short attention span of Americans. You suppose he buy a 1977 Camaro V8? With 160 HP? Then play the modding and guessing game all over? Keep your pessimism in your head.

How come none of the newer guys sense sarcasm? No sense of humor perhaps? If you would have used your attention span a little better, you would have noticed that chappie has a v6 and what he said was quoted, maybe meaning it was said by someone else previously and now its a joke? So in retrospect who is the idiot for blowing off the handle for no reason? Hmm...
Short attention span huh? Point to anywhere that might indicate ole Chappie has a V6? I see Camaro99 on his signature...nothing about a V6.

And how do you know I wasn't being sarcastic, or for the matter he was? Kinda hard to get a good sense of tone and emotion over type huh? Gotta love the hindsight "it was just a joke" card. I wish I had a pocket full of those.

Now if you want a drag car, then typically V8s are the way to go. 9 out 10 times it is. Safe bet. However, some people just want to get a better upgrade to their V6. They don't want a race car. They don't want to drag itor get teens MPG on a daily driver. 9 out 10 guys on car forums don't understand that there is a reason people own V6 models, and that's to get a modest daily driver that still has the get up and feel of a sporty car. And in the case of more modern V6 cars, they out perform many V8 models of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. And when parts are readily available and inexpensive to push a 3800 into 240-50 horsepower AND still maintain mid 20s gas mileage, whose to say that's not the way to go?

I see it time and time again, a guy with a V6 will ask for some simple power mods and the macho simple minded T-rex male will spout off "F**k the V6! Swap a V8!" and if you are truely a V6 person, sometimes people will take offense to that when you've just slammed their car they've worked so hard to earn and own. Like all of us on here, we take pride in our cars, I4 V6 or V8, it's all the same. So when some guy asks what you recomend for a V6 upgrade, and no one answers the question because it's a bunch of primates banging their hands on their chest, it gets annoying as hell.

As I've said, some people just want a daily driver with good get up and feel that'll pull 30 MPG on the highway, not a 400 horsepower 15 mpg torque monster. I guess that's too much thought to ask most American Muscle guys to comprehend, but trust me, it's more common than you think.

Hey Suck_it1986..... Listen to yourself... Already you have tagged yourself as a big mouth. And there are 3 different Camaros for 99.. And if its not a Z28 or an SS, most intelegent ( I use that word sparingly nowadays) would tend to think that its gonna be the 3.8 V6. Unless Don Yenko has a few in his garage nobody knows about. So, before you take shots. Please understand that I am fimiliar enough with this great group of guys and gals here that we tend to joke and know what to expect. The "...." should have given it away. Back to the intelegence topic. Just relax, have fun and try to get along.. I have to admit you were right on the attention span thing, I do have A.D.D. I like the color blue..Wonder whose in net for the Bruins tommorow, where did I leave my pants.?????? Whoops...there I go again with the attention span thing.

It doesn't appear that crzydrumer14 was offendedby the comment, I don't know why you should be? I'm curious what kind of performance he wants to get out of his 3.4, and because I've been that route is why I added my 2 cents. I know how it can get...free flow exhaust and intake is fine for a while, but it's not enough...then comes headers...then a bigger throttle body...then a cam and lifters...then a chip...then ported heads...then nitrous...then... If he's going to try and getas much as reasonably possible out of the engine without breaking the bank and be happy with the results, then that's fine, he can still have fun with that.I loved my 94, it was a fun car. But I had it long enough and was ready to step up to something more instead of pouring a lot of performance enhancing partsinto it. And, I wasn't referring to any kind of gas guzzling drag monster for him. His 3.4 is rated at 28 mpg highway and the Z28 is rated at 25...not a big difference in mileage considering the big difference in performance. Of course that's only if you keep the lead weight off the right shoe in either car!

The question was, "What can i do to boost my 3.4 performance?" Not, what can I replace my 3.4 with?" Problem is, if you read through alot of the posts on this site, you will find that everytime someone asks this question some smart&$$ wants to say "buy a V8". It gets a little old and the humor goes away pretty quick when thats the answer to every question involving a V6. Then if you mention swapping your V6 for a V8 all you hear is that its too much trouble and itsnot worth it. Know what, not all of us want to sell our cars and buy a V8 car, so we log on to these forums to get some advice on what to do and all we get is crap. Its not funny anymore and the people that actually need the advice are getting aggravated. Ask what kinda exaust sounds good on a V6 and all you'll get is a reply from some jackass saying that no exaust sounds good on a V6, go buy a V8...A goodsense of humor is great but who has time to weed through all the sarcasm when they really just want a strait answer. This isthe V6 section of the forum.. notthe V6 bashing area.

Hey chappie, I was using my attention span for an extended period of time and noticed that you changed your vehicle description in your sig. I also agree with your statement that boston is the greatest sports city in america, BUT, 2/3 of your teams would not be as good without the stars that started in MN, aka David Ortiz (big papi to you bostoners) and Kevin Garnett. By the way, do you have a thick Boston accent? I want one bad, it's so cool, I can only say "what are you retahded?" haha.

Yeah, I forgot about that, not the biggest hockey fan, even though i'm from the "state of hockey" I never learned how to skate backwards so I never played it so I shunned it, plus I have snowboarding to do in the winter.
