Default EGR Valve Being Removed?

i was wondering about the EGR valve.. is there anyway you can take it out? one time my EGR valve was leaking air and well it sounded better i liked it.. it would whisper upfront.. and behind the exhausts it was loud.. but i am just being curious o.o

Of course you can take it out but it WILL hurt your gas mileage... Most people don't think such a little thing can make a difference but it can... Trust me

Yes you can remove it, it does not affect your gas mileage if you have it tuned out, and its better to have it tuned out otherwise your computer will throw codes and it will idle a little rough.The only thing the egr does is recirculates exhaust back into the intake manifold which lowers nox and emmissions.Your exhaust may pop when decelerating.Also you will fail a visual inspection during your next smog check.
