egr only works a short time. will not have much effect on the performance either way. best to just leave it stock. the emmissions on these cars is minimal so getting rid of any of it will not gain a whole lot.

Like Craby said just leave it alone. It only works when you are cruising along and not needing any major HP. They do not really cost you any HP that you would ever notice. If you remove it you will throw codes and possably put your computer in limp home mode which will reduce HP as a way to prevent engine damage when some systems are not functioning properly.

My Egr had a crack in the tube so i plugged the hole on the manifold and left the tube on the intake. i also plugged the tube at the bottom of the egr. it tripped the Egr low flow code but it didnt effect anything that i noticed. The guy at autozone removed the code so the light wont come on again.

My dad had the idea to hook the egr up to the air intake after the filter that way it would still be taking air so a code wouldn't trip but it would be clean air not dirty hot air could this work?

im pretty sure the light will come on again the comp resets the codes like every 100 miles or something like that how long ago did you do this (i used to work at autozone its actually against the law for him to reset your codes)

the computer is programed to compensate for the egr, like massey said the egr is not open at wot so when you need the full benifits of the cai it will be there.
