EGR Valve
I have 2 1994 3.4 camaros. both egr valves have a falure in different solonoids, solodoid 3 on one and solonoid 2 on another. Does anyone know if it is possible to take apart the two egr valves and create one working EGR valve? has anyone here taken apart a 3.4's linear EGR? My haynes makes it look simple, but i dont want to take them apart adn permanently ruin both or 1.

RE: EGR Valve
The car has only one EGR valve unit with 3 control solenoids, and 3 gas valves. Each gas valve is either fully closes or fully open depending on the needs of the engine. If you disable some of the valves the remaining valves will not have the capacity needed. If you haven't done so already, check fuse #6 in the under hood fuse panel, and the wiring to the EGR. The EGR gets very hot and the wires and connector tend to get baked.

RE: EGR Valve
I pulled the codes on them both and you can see where they failed. i have checked the fuse and wiring before.i know how and where they are faulty. i just want to know if i can take one apart and rebuild it and if i can rebilt the 2 into 1. if you answered my question previously sorry i didnt catch it in there.

RE: EGR Valve
As I said before, what you are contemplating to do won't work properly. However; if your state does not have smog inspection, you can completely do away with the EGR and block off the opening.
