i have a 2000 camaro 5 spd, and i went to pull the rubber boot up off the shifter and the little plastic ring that holds the rubber boot down in place snapped at broke, does anyone know where i can buy another one? and yes ive checked junkyards, but none in the area have a 5 spd camaro, does anyone know a website or something where i can buy one?

 

have you checked the dealership? the t5 has been used pretty recently, i would think they would have some around

 

haha, same thing happened to me. i'm still looking for one as well, but i rigged it up almost perfect anyway, so it's not a priority right now.

 

I honestly have no idea what part you are referring to. Are you talking on the actual shifter itself or the the part of the center console that holds the leather shift boot inplace? When I replaced my shifter with a short shifter I dont remember anything holding on to anything other than the leather boot.
