What they use to fix leaks in an A/C compressor tube? I have a huge gash in the side of one of my pipes and I don't want to take it to a mechanic.

Are you talking about one of the metal tubes?

Yeah, it's one of the tubes that goes into the passenger cab.

I'm thinking you may want to get another one. I wouldn't think anything would keep it from leaking (it's somewhat high pressure). Maybe a heater hose clamped onto it, though I wouldn't make any promises.

I dont know about your finincial situation. But in the long run, its better to fix than "kinda fix." Check your local junkyard for a car like yours you can take one from. That way, you get practice removing it.

You say that like I'm going to need practice removing it. Is this a common problem or something?
