Do headers make a difference performance wise?

K&N, they're lifetime fliters. They last for many many years. But you have to take care of them, otherwise they're a waste of money. I've heard of people who see the liftime thing, stick one in, and never touch it. You still have to clean them.

There's instructions on the box. I think you only need to oil them once a year (or something like that), but you should still take it out when you do your motor oil change, and tape any dust or dirt out of it. The filter will also lose it's red color, or fade, another sign of needing to be re-oiled.

I just put a K & N filter on my Maro yesterday and it says to clean it every 50,000 miles but I'll do it alot more. Are upgraded air filter lid pointless?

I believe that means to recharge it every 50,000 miles. Every time I change my oil, I take the filter and tap the debris out of it. Not too sure about the lid, I'm not too experienced with that year camaro.

Shave the baffles from the top of the lid and sand it smooth. You'll be able to tell the difference by the sound of your car. And even a little on your SOTP dyno haha. Mainly, shaving the baffles allows the air to freely flow into the throttle body instead of getting damned up by the baffles. Btw after you put on all these bolt ons... I suggest a dyno tune... Makes a HUGE difference... Ignition timing is everything tbh :P
