Default Difference between K&N air filter and K&N cold air intake system??

Is there a difference in performance between a k&n air filter that costs 40-70 and a k&n cold air intake system that costs 300-400? ?

the cold air system is tubing and everything it will be a less retrictive flowing induction system where the filter is just a filter

K&N Filters suck compared to SLP's Blackwing filters -- K&N's bleed over sloppy rubber molding into the air mesh -- you don't see that on SLPs...

The CAI is the connection to bring in cold air to your engine.

I have the filter and doesn't give me a problem and had it for awhile now. That SLP blackwing looks sexy though with the blue.
