Have an intermitent power problem to the top and Power windows. They won't go up or down but if I wait 5 or 10 min. they start working again. Thinking it might have something to do with the RAP(retained acc. power module) Any ideas? Anyone know where that module is located?

 

On 96 and newer cars the RAP was handled by the BCM and not a seperate module. The BCM should be located behind the glove box and have 3 plugs going into it. Check out this thread here for info on how to repair the BCM. This should solve your issues if this is the cause.

The other cause is the circuit breaker tripping. If this happens you have to wait a period of time before it trips back before the windows or top will work. If this is the case then one of the motors is causing a large current draw. This usually happens when the motor cannot handle the load any more (ie motor going out). Figure out which motor it is and replace as needed.
