Couple questions...I don't know about?
My check engine light was coming on when I would really get on it all the way to 50-60MPH. So I went and got it scanned and there are 4 egr valves correct?, can't remember and it said that 2 or 3 of them were tripping codes, but we had a hard time figureing out what ones, so I am wondering if it would be better and worth money to just replace them all. Also My car has 183,000 miles and I do not know when the transmission fluid was last changed, I have heard rumors of changing the transmission fluid in higher mileage transmissions is bad? To me I would think that would be good for it? Another question is going from park to reverse or drive to reverse it kinda "clunks" and takes a second to engauge, I was thinking U joints but I also wanted to know if this could also be in my trans? Thanks a lot. I Just need some guidence on what to do seeing as I am 16 living with a single mom thanks.

What year is your camaro? Both the 3.4 and 3.8 have 1 egr valve I believe. I think you're referring to the o2 sensors. Changing the fluid is good for any transmission. Sounds like you have an automatic. If it "clunks" then it could be a couple of things. u joints, rear end, or possibly the joint in the 2 piece drive shaft.

Ok thanks... It's a 95' 3.4 camaro sorry, Is there anyway to try to determine by looking at U joints if they are bad. Also what do U joints do when they finally go out? Thanks a lot.

There are two types of EGR valves used in 4th gen cars, Digital and linear. Both are controlled by the PCM. The digital version uses 3 solenoids operating 3 gas control valves, which are operated individually or in combinations. The linear version uses only one solenoid
andone gas valve which is opened and closed as needed.A baddigital valve can cause the PCM togenerate up to 3 different DTCs (1 per solenoid)depending on which solenoid/valve combinationis in trouble. The linear version only generates a single DTC.
In both version there is only one EGR assembly. The solenoids are replaceable but it is not worth the effort and it is best to replace the entire assembly. However; it may be worth to clean out the control valves and gas passage as carbon deposits can cause many problems.
The EGR operates onlyduring part throttle operation and after the engine is warmed up. It remains closed at startup, idle, and WOT. Its purpose is to reduce NOx emission by introducing a small amount of exhaust gas into the intaketo reduce combustion temperature.
