Default Couple Of Questions!Help needed pls!

Hey guys,
I got a 97' Camaro RS v6
Questions:
1. Does the camaro RS have a stock dual exhaust because i have 2 piped coming out?

2. If i need better sound do i just replace my muffler(with like flowmaster or sumthing) or do i need to do sumthing else?

3. Will running straight pipes help get better sound?

4. One major thing is that, when i rev up some raspy sound comes.Go to the below YOUTUBE LINK AND HERE SECOND 22...that is how my car sounds on HIGH RPMS and btw thats not my car?How do i remove that sound?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r3hbr2Bahw

Are the brakes in the rear, disc brakes? Some 3.8 Camaros came with an optional Y87 package whichincluded dual exhaust among a few other things.

2. Well, there are many options you can do for exhaust. You can choose to have a cat-back system, which is new piping from the catalytic converter back, this also includes a muffler.

Or, you can just replace the muffler, which usually comes with some tubing.

It all depends on how far you are planning to mod with the car, and what sound you want.

3. The raspy sound is there on all v6's. Some are worse then others. You can calm the rasp down by: Doing exhaust work, a high flow cat (I'm not sure, but i think it helps to get rid of rasp), and an air intake. K&N make the best filters out there, but its up to you how you want to replace your Cold Air Intake.

my first advice would be never take advice from a transexual.if you buy just a muffler, thats what you will get just a muffler normally they do not come with extra piping as it is not needed.and secondly a cold air intake does not effect how the exhaust sounds

listen to 02stangt, he knows what he is talking about. If you are just after sound look on youtube for videos of other camaros with your engine.A straight piped system will be very loud and will have to be custom done, not to mention might not be emissions legal.
