so this week i jus added my throttle body spacer and K&N intake and now i wanna work on the exhaust.... 1st off my cat converter is busted already... theres a rattling sound coming from it and i think its cause i always bottom out and hit it so i need to get that replaced... well my question is this... wuts the stock size of the piping on the camaro right now (99 V6 3.8l) and also it is worth going bigger with the piping?

 

2.25" i.d. for the exhaust after the cat.

Yes. The inlet is 3" and the outlet is 3", but quickly reduces down to 2.25".

 

Go for the bigger piping, for that matter get a cat-back system...

 

money is tight right now so right now i'm jus slowly wokring on it
