Default Couple Questions

Long story short, another one of my coil packs went out on my 99 3.8. Decided to just go ahead and upgrade to MSD coil packs and bought some MSD wires while I was at it. Paired with Bosch Iridium plugs, will I be able to notice any performance increase once installed or is it not that substantial?

Second, I am also looking into some decent rear suspension. What do you guys recommend? I wouldn't mind some performance springs, but the roads around here are so bad that I worry about lowering it too much. Maybe no more than 1/4" - 1/2".

Third, what brake pads and rotors do you suggest for stock calipers? I've been looking at some slotted/drilled rotors but more than a couple friends say just go with slotted because the drilled ones have a tendency to crack.

you wont notice any performance with the coils plugs and wires but you may see your fuel economy go up some

as for the suspension what would be your budget you can get just the rear for 200$ or 2000$ also i recommend doing all the suspension

ive had drilled and slotted rotors on 3 of my 9 cars and on my bike ive never had one crack (also ive never had one warp) and pads i like autozone ceramic there a decent pad and they have a lifetime warranty

SLP bilstein shocks on all 4 corners will give you a much needed improvement. If you lower your car, you will need shocks as well. Migh also be worth checking around for a set of used SS/WS6 sway bars.

WS6store has sets of 4 OEM rotors with drill/slot options for around $170, not sure if they have them for the V6, but worth a shot. I like Hawk pads, even their least expensive pads stop fantastic, much better than OEM.

Budget isn't the best currently. Just need something to get me by for now. What would you recommend on the cheaper side for all of the suspension?

Shocks. Just trying to do rear springs will get you nowhere. Shocks help greatly in ride quality and handling. The SLP Bilsteins are really going to be the best for a budget.

That is not correct. We have shocks in all 4 corners. A strut replaces part of the suspension, like an upper control arm. (See the Fbody 3 gen front suspension) We have coil mounted shocks in the front of our cars, some people like to call coil over shocks but that is a generic term. We have covered this before?
