i am having a problem with my cooling fans. i had code p1651 fan1 relay control circuit. i repalced the relay and as soon as i put the new one in the fans came on instantly. when i am driving and in traffic my temp goes up to like 230 then goes down after i drive,more traffic it goes up again. if i sit with the car in park,running for 20 minutes or so the temp does not go up it stays around 180-190. anyone know what the problem is and how i can fix it? thanks for your replies.

 

I would advise checking your cooling system and do a coolant flush. Also see if your thermostat is bad/stuck i.e. not opening up properly.

 

does it make a difference on what temp the thermostat is? what should i get? thank you97RS
