Default Coolant

Hello I`m new here
Guys I need help I have a 1997 Camaro RS

The other day, I got "check gauges" light it was my coolant, it was heating up pretty quick.
When I parked I`ve noticed a leak, thought it was a hose but it`s not it seems like its coming from closer to the engine.

Would anyone know what could be wrong ?

Thnx

Well I think and I may be wrong but it sounds like the leak is coming from your weep hole on the waterpump. If so you need to replace it because the weep hole is designed to let you know when the pump is going out or already has. The other thing you could do is start your car and observe it runnning, look to see if it is coming from the thermostat housing, the gasket could be faulty. Good luck, be gentle with the engine till you are sure what the problem is, all you need is a blow engine. One more problem and I hope for your sake its not the problem, a leak in the head gasket, if you are experiencing lots of smoke thats most likely the problem.
