Default Converting from manual to power doors

Hey guys,

I have my project car to pimp out and one of my next upgrades is power doors. My ride is a 97 3.8, with headers, cold air, alumina drive shaft, 19 inch wheels which won’t go on until after the paint has been laid down…I have a few other things going on the car as well...but anyway...

I grabbed the doors already and I also have the BCM…
My question is will I have to find a wire harness to support the power setup or does my Camaro have it in place by default?
Thanks

Default No takers???

Ok, so let me throw this out there...

What if I decided to leave the current BCM in the car and built a wire harness that merely controlled windows and door locks?

Is it possible? I mean the wiring Dia looks pretty simple, but I am by far no electrician...I just want to go with the best approach...

My requirements:

  • abilty to unlock both doors from driver door
  • ability to control both windows from drive door
  • add passenger door controls for window and lock
That's really it, again...I have the power doors already, but I don't know if my Camaro has the harness installed being that it manual by defualt...

Thanks Guys for any advice you can lend...
