Console Light

I bought my automatic 99 not too long ago and the light in the console that shows what gear I'm in is out...but before I "fix" it I just wanted to make sure that there is actually supposed to be a light there...

yes. it is a 73, 74, or 37, sized bulb. they are all the same size so it should'nt matter which one. or check sylvania.com for exact bulb number.
