36 24XSignal Circuit Error (3.4L) Faulty circuit error from coil packs to module.

My Hayne's manual says "the 24X crankshaft position sensor is mounted on the engine front cover and partially behind the vibration damper".

I have never heard of a '36 code'.... just 36, its usually 3 or four digits. Like p0136 or something like that.
See if this helps.

i looked and now i need to know if i have to replace any of the parts or what. I'm sure that taking it apart and putting it back together wouldn't help.

But don't believe it's the sensor. I had the same error on my 3.4L and it was an electrically dead fuel injector that had been intermittent for years! I knew the symptoms of it from its intermittent failing, but never knew the exact problem. Anyhow, this same code is now gone after injector replacement!
