Default Cold Air intake

I am looking at getting a cold air intake for my 2002 3800.. I really like the K&N that they sell on this web site..

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...oducts_id=1050

But im lost with the discription it says its for my car but what the hell does this mean?

"K&N's AirCharger? Off-Road & Racing Performance Kits are similar to FIPK?s except they are NOT legal for sale or use on pollution controlled vehicles in some states and they come with K&N?s Off-Road/Racing Limited Warranty. "

I have the ultra z hood so i was looking at a open filter systme i figured it would work the best. Help me please? does anyone have one on their V6?

I dont really think those would work well for my hood that i have and I have a k&n filter in the origional housing that cam with the car and that my friend dont give you ****... But im thinking that because the scoop on the ultra z hood is so close to the filter that an open system like that would give me better Fuel, and power performance

Get a scoop and a Whisper lid with a decent filter. Problem solved

I also have a Ultra Z style hood. I opted for the SLP CAI and their filter. The stock intake box is in a perfect spot for the hood, as the air gets sucked up in front of the box, right where the hood scoops open. The SLP one is cheap, easy to install and uses the same size air filter, so you can find them easily.
