Code Pulling Question.....
Okay,
I Fully Understand That Since I Have A 93 That To Pull The Codes I have To Jump The (A) & (B)
Pins On the Plug Under The Dash... A and B Both Being On The Top Right Side If You Are Looking At It.
&& Im Sure I Did It Right Because I Heard That When You Jump Them And Turn The Key On ACC That The Fan Will Kick On.
SOOOO,
I Did All That, Jumped The Pins & The Fan Kicked On. But No SES Flash. SES Comes On, But Doesnt Even Flash The (12) Doesnt Flash At All....
Im Dumbfounded. I Tried To Take It To The Dealer, But They Said They Couldnt Do It. " Its Too Old " Is What He Told Me.
Im Basically Looking For Suggestions,
Take It To The Parts Store?
I Heard That Their Code Readers Dont Get All Of The Codes... <Any Verification?
It Seems To Run Fine...I Just Wanna Know What The Thing Wants So The SES Light Can Go Away.
Any Info/Ideas Would Be Appreciated.

RE: Code Pulling Question.....
lol, I would help, but I went from no computer to computer (jeep to camaro). I have a code scanner that will scan obd 1, not sure how in depth it goes. My corolla had an obd 1 computer, but it never had a problem, sorry, can't help much on this one. But I might, can you tell me more about the car?
edit: 93 v6 right?

RE: Code Pulling Question.....
Tried Again.
Ignition All The Way Forward
A & B Jumped
Fan Turns On.
No Codes, No Flashes. SES Comes On But Dosent Flash.
Am I Missing Something Here?
Ive Done This Before On Different OBD1 Cars, But I Know It Not This Complicated.

RE: Code Pulling Question.....
You can't pull codes with that method on ANY 3.4L F-car.
It's only the 93 LT1 that can manage this trick. No 3.4Ls.
Come on regs, bust out your Haynes manuals and keep up with this on occasion.
You need that same adapter cable that the rest of the 94-95 cars need to figure out OBD 1.5 as well.

RE: Code Pulling Question.....
I had a 94 bonneville that had an obd 2 plug, but was really an obd 1.5. It didn't have all the features of a full obd 2. I'm curious if you car has an obd 2 plug, or just an obd 1 plug. Can you take a pic of the socket? I have a scanner with a pile of plugs and adapters, so I can compare the plug with your socket if I see a pic.
