have any of you guys chipped your 3.8L
if so, where did you get the chip, b/c i have been unable to find one...

Your 1997 computer (ECM/PCM) has progressed beyond chip changing and has no replaceable chips. However, the computer can be reprogrammed for improved performance by using hand held reprogrammers, such as Hypertch, via PC based programs that allow you to change the computer settings, or by sending the PCM out to get it reprogrammed based on what mods you have made to the engine. Unless you have modified your engine, reprogramming is not going to squeeze much more power out of the engine, but it does help a lot to take full advantage of your modifications.
