how much power would i really get from removing my cat converter?? does anybody know if it is legal here in california? i just got a new cat converter with flowmasters, if i would of known i didnt need the cat, i would of saved like 200 bucks!!

I hope your kidding about whether it's legal in Cali or not... The whole reasoning for a cat, is to reduce emissions. You know the stuff that's responsible for smog. Aftermarket parts that are smog-legal usually have a C.A.R.B.# on them. CARB = California Air Research Board. No it's not legal. Most people just take it off, and then come inspection time, put the old one back on. If the 5-0 catches you though, be prepared to pay fines. It was cheaper to buy that cat then pay for several emissions tickets.

That's why they make emulators and have computer mods to take out that part of the readings...

??? Simulators don't fool the sniffer test.
