yea...idk what exact wire does what, but use jumper wires, gotta find the ground and run a wire from ground on batt to that wire. then get another jumper and start jumping all the other wires and the ports will open.

to find the ground.
if you have a volt meter put the black lead on the neg battery terminal

set the meter to test for continuity (some meters will beep when has continuity)
(you can see if its working by touching the two leads together should beep or give a number)

touch the lead on the wires on the connector on the car(not egr ) and when you get continuity thats your ground.

after all this i would think your 02 sensors are not to happy. take em out and see if they look fouled. you can clean them and get good results sometimes. take a butane torch to the sensor ends and heat them up, dont get carried away and melt the wires. the heat will burn off the black crud, then blow them off/out with air if you have it. be a good idea to check your plugs to.

that means your running rich. better see if you can find the source of the problem. if the plugs are fouling then i would say the 02's are fouled as well. sometimes it can just be 02's or plugs. if the 02's get fouled they will sometimes read lean when normal, this causes the computer to rich the air fuel ratio which fouls the 02 sensors and plugs even more causing another lean reading bringing even more fuel, well you see the problem. im not saying that is your problem just that its 1 of quite a few. check fuel pressure, test fuel pressure regulator for leakage (unplug the vacuum hose and smell/look for fuel) test evap (look at the top of the lt1 section) test maf if you have one, test iat sensor, test coolant temp sensor, check for plugged catalytic converter and well, could be as simple as a gas cap or as serious as a failing main computer. shbox has procedures for alot of these tests.
