i have a 94 3.4L v6. i just had to replace my radiator on the car, drove the car for about a day and parked it at about 10 at night. well at about 2am i decided im gonna just drive down the road and back and i turned around in a parking lot and accelarated back on the road and once i hit about 40mph the car just shut off and i rolled into another lot admitiatly tried to restart it tried to turn over but wouldnt turn over. i had the car sitting for roughly 2.5 hrs in the lot while having to find someway to get it home. still not starting. the next day comes around i looked all over the car for any loose sensors finding none. check the spark and there is none. the car broke down on me 3 days ago and im still getting nothing out of it and been looking at it everyday. i dont know to much about this car just picked it up about 2.5 months ago. would anybody be able to help me out with this cuz i have know clue where to start but i do know it can be like7 diffrent things. please help!!! its my only car and as of now im screwed not being able to go anywhere living here in hott ol' phoenix...

 

i have heard a few problems like this with vats but i dont know for sure

 

thank you for your input though...the temps have been around 110-115 my car is all i have right now. dont have the money to get it diagnosed at the dealership. but thank you...

 

Maybe your alternator is dead and stopped charging the battery, and then the battery finally gave up...

 

^^^ if the battery is not dead look for lose or burnt wires at the coils and crank sensor. are any lights on at the dash, ses, security? check all fuses under hood and by the driver side door. do u hear the fuel pump come on when the key is turned on?

 

all fuses are good, all lights come on when i turn the key to start position, i can here the fuel pump kick on when i have the key to the on position, but it relates to where i have no spark when i spark tested 2 diffrent spark plugs.

 

ok so if all thats happening it should not be the vats. are u getting juice to the coils when the key is on? when u say it tried to turn over do u mean tried to start or do u mean it tried to turn over but acted like the battery was dead and would not? im assuming that if u got a spark test the motor turns over. gorn and arrow are up on 6s maybe one will come back with some good ideas. dont want to cost u unneeded $/changes.

 

thestarter cranks over just fine it just wont fire up

 

there should be a ignition fuse in the electical box under the hood check to see if its ok and while your at it check to see if its getting power to that fuse plug. found some stuff in my book may help ya itll take a minute.

 

hope this helps and u can see it. i still cant figure out the picture thing. its something i found in my 93 book and most of it should be like yours. not real sure on that though.
