Camaro Upgrades
So I just purchased my 3rd Camaro. I previously owned a 97 and a 2000 both V6. I recently purchased a Camaro 98' V6 3.8L Engine, I never did any upgrading to the other two besides a 40$ performance chip. Now that I finally have some money I've done a little bit of work so far to my current Camaro. I've put on a Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust and SLP Cold Air Induction Package. What else can I upgrade in order to get a good amount of power out of my engine. Any ideas are good and price isn't an issue, and I don't wanna take it as far as an engine swap. Performance related only please I'm kinda new to this stuff a "noob" if you may. Thanks in advance !

RE: Camaro Upgrades
You should finish off the exhaust system since you already have the lid and cat back. Finish it off with a good set of headers and a good Y pipe. You will get a deeper grow out of it plus a noticeable pick up. Is this a Auto or T5 car.

RE: Camaro Upgrades
The T5 is crap. You may get away with bolt on's but if you go for any real power you will have to upgrade to a 4L60 or T56. The headers and Y-pipe are a good way for you too go right now.

Check out the stickies in the v6 section, there's some decent info in there. The T5 will hold up until you start doing serious bolt-ons, such as heads and an aggressive cam. A safe line would be 270-280 horsepower, more than 300 and say goodbye to 3rd gear. The V6 is a fantastic engine, I love it personally. The t5, well, not so much.
There aren't many options to take car of the t5 problem, at the moment, you can beef the t5 up, or swap a 4l60e automatic (cheapest route). the company that made the t56 swap went out of business.
