I never said anything you stated was not true i agree straigh TB is best but not for every day driving like i sated before mine is a what they call short ram good product and was just trying to help the guy out and sell somthing thats worht more than im asking.Im not and never stated it will add 17hp to a v6 camaro at all lmao.Just stating some thing are better than others and some thing are over priced.The OP was going to get a K&N set up which i dont see payin 300bux for and stated a CAI is not going to be a major HP mod plan and simple should have read my fist post from start to end.

And i also say the ebay intake is worth the money if your wanting a full CAI i was just offering what i have to see if he would be interested not saying its the best thing on this earth just not as expensive as the K&N and its also a name brand product for cheapoo.

gorn knows his stuff and id go with what hes sayin,,, that utube attachment is a rice burner. . they dont need air do they? lol what does the sound wave have to do with air flow?? the guy states its not a cold air intake, i think the op wants a cold air intake.

Like I said in a earlier post there are ways to speed up the air to get into the engine faster. These do not work with any of our factory intakes. The way our intakes are designed the length and size of the runner from the Plenum to the head is what controls the speed of the air into the cylinder. The design that may work on some cars will not work on a Camaro. That would also be the reason why No one claims big gains for CAI with a Camaro. These cars have been around a long time. If there was a way to get any real HP out of a CAI they would sell like hot cakes.

I would never give up the Cold Air part of the intake because that help with fuel mileage all the time not just at WOT.

Hope not to interrupt, but i have a CAI on my 3.8L camaro, and im not sure how to get the O2 sensor out of the stock intake. im sure i can get the O2 sensor into my new intake but... i just dont want to break or damage the current O2 sensor in my stock intake.

You are talking about the Air temp sensor. It is supost to just pull out. All I can tell you is becarful. The rubber seal around the sensor gets hard and the sensor can break while you are trying to remove it.

The amount of power gained, if any, depends on how restrictive the original intake was. Cars such as the 4th gen LT1s had pretty restrictive intake routing so they get a good power gain with better plumbing. Other cars, initially designed with better intakes, will show less or no gain with a CAI. Whatever system you buy or make up, make sure it is real CAI, that means it is picking up air from outside the engine compartment. A lot of the systems sold on E-bay have the air filter inside the engine compartment, which results in a HAI instead of a CAI. lol
