im looking on the k&n site for a cai for y 3.8 but im not finding 1 anyone here with 1 know where to get 1? google is failing me for the first time ever. also is 239 about right for price? how is it installed? just clamps or something difficult?

really asking how a intake is installed?there pretty straight forward and K&N is over rated if you ask me just find a tube style you like and put a k&n filter on it loooked at any ram air intakes?Also ive got a AEM 4inc(diameter) CAI id sell for 50bux got pics if interested.

Default low hp gain

ok i found it but it says there is only a 7hp gain whan the other ie 5.7 and 3.4? have about a 19 hp gain? anyone know where i can get a cai that will provide a bit more hp than 7 seems kinda large price for so little a gain.

sorry about the newb questions i rwally dont know im learning as i go and nvr had 1 installed all i know is it put colder air and is less restrictive thus increasing the hp

ive got the AEM, but no cai will give you 19whp your looking at 5-7whp at the most with a top of the line intake and aem's stuff is pretty good.

heres the CAI needs clamps but its an expensive CAI and im only wanting 50bux for it it comes with the filter aswell can ship but you pay anyways heres a pic...

the k&n site quotes 18hp gains on some of hte cai's a bunch of bs i take it. where u at? how much to ship it? go i need to do anything to the maf after installing?

you might need a maf adapter plate but it can be shipped for probly 10-15 bux im in nc got any pics of a 3.8 engine bay?ik it works on my 3.4 id have to see pics of a 3.8 the same year as urs or ur cars engine bay to tell if it could work or not.

That doesn't look like it has a spot for the IAT sensor. By the way, LT1 and 3.4 intakes will work on your car as long as you get the elbow from the LT1 or a 1LE elbow. www.rksport.com has a K&N CAI for the 3.8.

Oh it doesnt a simple drill will fix that right up though and yea i was thanking he would need an elbow and some cupplers for the MAF to work.
