Default Buying a V6 Camaro, any advice?

Hi I am new here I don't have time to go to the introduction area now I needed to ask a question. Well I have a Nova but am going to sell it and buy a v6 camaro most likely and wanted your advice on what to look for, get, ect. Any advice is appreciated.

I would go with a v8 but v6 are better on gas as it seems.

IMO you will be happier with a 3.8 V6 rather than any of the 60 deg V6's.

+1 on getting the 3.8 over the 3.4. The 3.8 is a much better engine. Smoother, quieter, more power.

I like the 96 up 5 speeds (they are 3800s) You can beat 30 MPG on the highway. The v8 do not do too bad as long as you do not do a lot of stop start and waiting in traffic.

Intake take gaskets are the only real common issue. If it has not been done yet it will need done. To a lesser extent head gaskets also.

I owned a 96 v6 from 96-99 and it was a great car. As mentioned, 30 mpg highway, and I personally got 26-28 mpg mixed driving. The 3800 is a peppy v6 and a solid engine.

Yea, get a Y87! You will be happier and it will save you a few mods right off the bat... ;-)

BS, 30 MPG is not for typical stop and go driving (more like 19 MPG) -- only highway... You should really qualify statements like that.
