Left hand drill bit. If the drill bit does not walk the bolt out use the hole it makes for the extractor. There is a very good chance the heat and vibration along with the torque of the drill will just walk the bolt right out.
Don't go cheap on the extrator. The cheap one are Case hardend if you break one off inside the bolt getting it out will be tuff cause the case is harder the a HSS drill. A good thru hardend tool will be much stronger.

How easy or hard depends on how the bolt broke. If it broke taking it out, it's gonna be a pita no matter what you use. If it snapped while installing, or was just fatigued and snapped from age, then you could try a sharpened punch and hit the bolt off-center with a hammer to try and spin it out.
