Default Broken Front Cover - Gah!

Hi guys,

Been a while since I've posted. I recently broke my front cover on the motor trying to get the bracket off that holds the alternator. The little 90 degree plastic coolant line (up under the fuel injection) had cracked. So I broke a $300 part to get to a $10 part. Bleh.

Anyway, it broke right at the goosneck for the heater core line where the O-ring seals. I pried on it the wrong way. It appears I'm going to have to replace the entire front cover. I've never dug that deep in to a 3800 and am just looking for any pointers from ya'll that have been there, done that. I'm currently down to taking off the crank pulley to get the the remaining bolts. Anything in particular I should know before I break more stuff?

Thanks a ton. Ya'll rock.

There should be some sensors that need to be removed so that they won't get broken.

Hehe. Yeah I got most of those. I'm having trouble finding the dang thing other than from the dealer. I'm thinking of an expansion plug to just bypass the silly thing. Who needs heat in SW Florida...
