Default Boost retard/Ignition Box for Supercharged 3800

Who makes a Ignition box with boost retard and or: a stand alone boost retard compatable with the OEM 3 coil type ignition on 96 3800 camaros? I've talked to summit and they had notta according to one of their tech lines.

This is my plans and build thread for my car if you have any questions. https://camaroforums.com/forum/93-02-v6-tech-14/build-thread-powerdyne-supercharged-3800-96-camaro-53096/

Have you tried the MSD catalog? http://www.msdignition.com/product.a...s=boost+retard

IMO The most elegant solution is to do away with the MAF, replace the MAP with one designed for a supercharged engine, and reprogram the PCM for speed density and the proper ignition timing and fuel delivery.

Yeah, i have found several units like that. I was really hopeing to get away without completely changing the ignition and air/fuel managment system (budget and all...).

1. What you're describing seems like alot of work. Can you get more detailed about what all is involved? Is it something you've done before?

2. Is the boost retard something i can have my tuner just set to a certian setting when he is tuning it? I realize i would loose some adjustment for quality of gas and such. But i really don't spend much time at the track. Its mainly a street car/driver. LOL, I ran it in bone stock form just for fun and it ran 16.3's meh... this should improve that quite a bit...

3.Iwas really thinking about upgrading to some high output coils and wires and running one of these. http://www.jegs.com/i/Vortech/933/5A001-001/10002/-1 (not sure why Jeg's don't have a pic up but its designed to be run with a centrifugal setup even if it is a different brand...)

Thoughts?

I think you might want to contact a shop that specializes in 3800 performance...
Perhaps:
http://www.intense-racing.com/
and
http://www.3800performance.com/
