ASR?

I know it stands for Acceleration Slip Regulation, but what does it matter if its on or off?

ASR Anti-Slip Regulation ... if the computer detects the rear wheels spinning faster than the front it will retard the timing, reduce the throttle angle and finally use the rear brakes to slow the spinning down ... regaining traction. Sick
