i had the same thing on my 96 3.8, since i had it, never leaked there that i could notice, only place it leaked was oil pan seal. had both replaced, and cleaned it up. oil pan seal kept leaking, but i guess thats common in the 6ers after a while, even after a new seal, something bout age and milage. the leak(s) never got to the point where i had to add extra oil tho, maybe, at most, a1/4court less came out than what i put in, not enough to trip oil low light tho.

Which side is the left to you? I had a 94 3.4l at one point in time and the passenger side valve cover had some oil on it but that was because the rubber boot thing for the PCV was not connected to the pipe coming from the intake elbow, put that back on, wiped up the oil, and never found anymore on there, if left to you is from inside the car, then hell if i know i didnt see anything that could leak on the drivers side!!!

Yes, I think that is it! I had to replace that PCV right-angled boot because it self-destroyed with age... They sell them at most auto-parts stores, although mine was only at a bigger store and had to be ordered...
