Do ya'll think that if i got a performence chip.....CAI....bigger headers......do you think that that would give me a pretty good bit of HP...and performence?

P.S.-How bad would the headers kill my gas mileage?

You are looking at approx. 20hp right there...customize the exhaust system into true duels...( remove the cat..unless you have strict emission laws you can also go with high-flo cats magnaflow mufflers or flowmasters depending on what sound you like...* Just note that magnaflow sound better on a V6** Now your gas mileage won't be that bad...the CAI will help some.

 

Depends on the engine. 2.8 not worth the trouble, 3.4 maybe 10 HP, 3.8 around 15 HP. Headers do not make the mileage worse, it is the driver tryig to see how much more power is available. The 3.8 has some pretty decent cast shorty type headers from the factory, so if you replace them with another set of shorty headers, you won't see much of a difference. Long tubes work the best, but you may have road clearance problems.
