Default 99 camaro with random problems

My wife has a 99 with the v6 in her. It has sat for about a week. She took it out yesterday picked up some gas. Then developed a random misfire, and a egr code which has been there. Today she left and now her temp is up to 260. And the check gauges light is on. She says there is no sign of leaking under the car.

Head gasket must have went. Is there coolant in the rad? Check the oil. If it looks like chocolate milk then there's a serious problem. Have the coolant system pressure tested. If all that checks out good then it could be a bad coil pack causing s miss fire. for the egr could be a solenoide that went.

First thing is to suspect she got bad gas. That, or it's a huge coincidence. The high temp may be unrelated, or could be related to the EGR issue.

Oil looks fine just did it about a month ago. coolant is low, and opened the bleeder valve and was nothing but air. I have been told bad things about having a pressure test done on this motor. And by the way a pain to work on.

Even tho you just did it you should still check it. Coolant can leak into your oil if you have a bad head gasket or intake gasket. So have a look at it just to be sure it's still good. I've had my system pressure tested and haven't had any problems with it. All you do it's pressurize it to what your rad cap is rated for. Any higher and you risk problems. Your system should hold the pressure for a long time.

Check the thermostat, flush the coolant with a flush kit, ensure the system is not plugged somewhere... How fresh are the plugs and wires?

Plugs and wires could use a change. Checked oil and she looked good. I did notice what appears coolant in one of the well area's of the injectors.

Was planning on changing her uim power coated a fresh one for my wife.
