98 V6 tach question

Default 98 V6 tach question

Putting an aftermarket tach in and was wondering where to splice in for the tach signal? anybody got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The - on the coil. I think the signal wire is usualy white.

This would normally be the case, but your car has DIS ignition with no distributor and 3 coil packs with no exposed leads. There is a white wire, pin C, on the large connector on the ignition control module (under the coil packs) which carries the tach signal, you can try tapping into it & see if the tach works.
